Graphic design is a craft where professionals create visual content to communicate messages. By applying visual hierarchy and page layout techniques, designers use typography and pictures to meet users’ specific needs and focus on the logic of displaying elements in interactive designs, to optimize the user experience.

Graphic designers use computers or hand tools to create posters, websites, logos, brochures, magazines and many other materials to communicate ideas and information visually. They are sometimes called graphic artists.Graphic Designers create visual concepts with the goal of attracting the interest of clients through digital and physical designs that typically use graphics, images, art, and other visual elements. Although Graphic Designers may use a variety of tools to create their designs, all Graphic Designers must be able to use their hands at least occasionally to create designs, even if they prefer to rely on their digital skills and graphic design software.

Graphic designers develop visual concepts by hand or with computer software. Intended to captivate, inform, inspire, and/or persuade, a designer’s end product is often used in a marketing or promotional campaign, or a public announcement. Graphic designers work creatively, both in print and electronically. Above all, they are visual storytellers with the goal of engagement at a glance.
